Emergency Service Arrangements

Outside normal working hours, The Armac Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Bury is the dedicated emergency service provider for Town & Country Veterinary Group. Armac is open nights, weekends and all bank holidays. This service ensures there is a vet available wheatever the hours. It employs qualified Veterinary Surgeons and nurses who work specifically within emergency and critical care ensuring the best possible care for your pet.

The staff are on site 24 hours a day and visiting of inpatients is allowed throughout the night.

It is not possible for Veterinary Practices with a small team of Vets to provide continuous 24 hour cover. We can't work all day and night without a break and it is unacceptable to leave animals requiring supervision unattended for any length of time.

In an emergency if the surgery is closed please telephone our out of hour vet clinic on:

Home Visits

Under most circumstances because we need access to equipment and diagnostic facilities we have on our premises, it is preferable to examine and treat your pet at one of of surgeries.

We do understand that it is not always possible for you to get your pet into us or that when it comes for the time to say goodbye you may wish to have a home visit.

We can usually, by prior arrangement, visit your pet at home between the hours of 11:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday. As we are open at weekends we may be able to visit between 12:00pm and 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday subject to how busy we are. If the Vet is busy, a qualified Veterinary Nurse may be able to pick your animal up in our ambulance to be admitted to the surgery.
