The staff are on site 24 hours a day and visiting of inpatients is allowed throughout the night.

It is not possible for Veterinary Practices with a small team of Vets to provide continuous 24 hour cover. We can't work all day and night without a break and it is unacceptable to leave animals requiring supervision unattended for any length of time.

Nurse Clinics

For some routine health problems it isn't always necessary to see a Veterinary Surgeon. Our qualified nurses are experienced and skilled at giving appropriate advice on many health matters.

You may need help and guidance on worms and fleas, for example, so that you use the correct treatments and don't waste time and money on inappropriate and ineffective products.

Some of the nurse clinics are free but existing clients have a whole range of services to choose from.

Worried about your pets weight or mobility?
We offer tailored weight loss and exercise programs and advice on mobility support neutraceuticals.

Want to offer the best care during your pets senior years?
Our Senior Wellness Clinic offers health checks, blood samples, urinalysis and blood pressure checks, discount card and diet loyalty schemes.

Need advice on dental care?
Free dental checks by nurses and advice on oral health with promotional offers will ensure your pet has fresh breath and a smile.

Would you like to know more about your rabbit's health?
Ask about our Bunny Clinic for health checks, pedicures, and advice on vaccinations, diet and parasites.

At Town and Country Veterinary Group we run nurse clinics to offer you advice and health checks relating to all these issues and more, including:

  • Fleas and worms
  • Puppy parties and monthly check ups*
  • Kitten monthly checks*
  • Adolescent checks and neutering advice*

* these are free for registered clients.

Home Visits

Under most circumstances because we need access to equipment and diagnostic facilities we have on our premises, it is preferable to examine and treat your pet at one of our surgeries.

We do understand that it is not always possible for you to get your pet into us or that when it comes for the time to say goodbye you may wish to have a home visit.

We can usually, by prior arrangement, visit your pet at home between the hours of 11:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday. As we are open at weekends we may be able to visit between 12:00pm and 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday subject to how busy we are. If the Vet is busy, a qualified Veterinary Nurse may be able to pick your animal up in our ambulance to be admitted to the surgery.
