Dr Joe Stanford

I qualified from Glasgow University in 2013 and have worked in small animal practices around the north of England ever since, with an interest in surgery. I joined Town & Country Vets in early 2021 to succeed Mike in the Clinical Director role, which involves co-ordinating the day to day clinical activities of our three practices, leading and supporting the vets and wider team, whilst continuing to see clients and their pets as a busy vet.

Outside of work I am an avid football fan, and have a very cuddly cat called Timothy who was found as a tiny kitten on the street by a member of the public at my previous job. When no owners came forward I took him home ‘for the weekend’, and he has not left ever since!
